Goal

Qn1:On : 11.13.20.01.0 version, Plan Project

Task Planning dates are not coming correctly when copied from a template -

We have a template in which there are multiple tasks with planned start date and end date. When we created a project out of the template, tasks in the template are different to what they are in the Template.

Example : Below is Financial Plan in Template -

Template Start Date : 01-JUN-2020
Template End Date : 31-DEC-2020

Task | Task Number | Planned Start Date | Planned End date
XYZ  |       X.1         |         01-JUL-2020  |    15-JUL-2020

Now, when we create a project with this template by entering project start as 07-JUN-2020 and end date as 31-DEC-2020, this is how Financial Plan looks like -

Task | Task Number | Planned Start Date | Planned End date
 XYZ |      X.1          |   07-JUN-2020       | 31-DEC-2020

What's expected -

Task | Task Number | Planned Start Date | Planned End date
 XYZ |     X.1           |      01-JUL-2020     | 31-DEC-2020

As task dates are in between Project effective date range, why task dates are not considered from template?

Qn2:On : 11.13.20.01.0 version, Plan Project

How user can update these task dates in bulk besides using UI to update one at a time?
