Newly Added BOL Type Values Not Getting Saved And throwing "Cannot update the SHIPMENT_T Record." error (Doc ID 2698009.1)

Symptoms

Newly Added BOL Type Values not getting saved due to Error. Customer added new values for BOL Type in the Custom Manager Layout for Shipment. However, when they are selecting one of the newly added values for a Shipment from the BOL Type drop down list and trying to save it, an error message appears as below.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

i)Creating the Custom Manager Layout for Shipment by copying the Seeded one
ii)Under the Financials Tab, selecting the field BOL Type and replacing it with a new field with the same label
iii)Selecting the Fixed List option and entering all the required values
iv) Added that custom manager layout into custom screenset and menu
v)Then by following the navigation Shipment Management > Buy Shipments, searching for an existing Shipment
vi)Going to the Financials tab and selecting one of the newly entered values from the BOL Type dropdown
vii)When we try to save the new value, the error message comes "Cannot update the SHIPMENT_T Record. Its BOL_TYPE value must be one of [EXPRESS,STANDARD]"
