Incorrect Encoding of Data Loaded by ODI from Oracle ERP Cloud and Diacritic Characters are not Showing Correctly on Target (Doc ID 2701774.1)

Symptoms

When loading data containing extended ASCII characters, such as accented characters or diacritics from Oracle ERP Cloud using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), the data is loaded into target using incorrect encoding.

For Example :

Non-English language characters such as cedilla (ç), acute accent (á, é, í, ó, ú), circumflex accent (â, ê, ô), tilde (ã, õ), and grave accent (à, and rarely è, ì, ò, and ù) are not showing correctly as seen below.
