Sales Process Fails With "ORA-00060" Deadlock Error On NEW_ITEM_LOC Synchronization (Doc ID 2706700.1)

Symptoms

Salesprocess fails with ORA-00060 Error.

Error:

"SALES_PROCESS_BI_SQL.PROCESS_NEW_ITEM_LOC Chunk_id: 28 Errored out with DB lock issue. @0PACKAGE_ERROR@1ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for resource
ORA-00001: unique constraint (XXX.PK_ITEM_LOC) violated@2NEW_ITEM_LOC_SQL.PERSIST"
SALES_PROCESS_BI_SQL.RETRY_NEW_ITEM_LOC Retry number: 3 chunk_id: 2 Errored out with DB lock issue. @0PACKAGE_ERROR@1ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for resource@2NEW_ITEM_LOC_SQL.PERSIST


Steps To Recreate:

  1. Create a RESA Sale for an item where location : xxx is not ranged before.
  2. Run the batches: saexprms.pc , uploadsales.ksh and salesprocess.ksh.
  3. Create another sale for the same item and repeat the above step 2.
