Symptoms

Even though a Storefront hostname has been "whitelisted" via the updateBasicAuthConfiguration (POST /ccadmin/v1/merchant/basicAuth) under the "neverAuthenticateTargetHostNames" list eg.

GET /ccadminui/v1/merchant/basicAuth response:

the Basic Authentication pop-up is still displayed when accessing the Storefront.
