Item group Assignment functionality for SSP is not working

ERROR

The standalone selling price profile cannot be derived. You must assign the item or memo line or item group to a standalone selling price profile

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Defined items
2. Defined Item group and assigned item to item group
3. Defined SSP profile and assigned item group to SSP profile.
4. Assigned SSP value t item group.
5. Ran 'Validate Customer Contract Source Data' job to validate data in RMCS document tables. Contract has been rejected with below error.
The standalone selling price profile can't be derived. You must assign the item or memo line or item group to a standalone selling price profile.
