How To Return The Month Name? MonthName Function Returns the Month Number (Doc ID 2737592.1)

Goal

The MonthName function that should return the name of the month for data provided. However, it is currently returning the number of the month.

To recreate the scenario:

  1. Navigate to BI Analytics
  2. Create a new analysis with a new subject area. For example, use "Sales - CRM Pipeline"
  3. Add "Opportunity"."Created Date"
  4. Edit Formula field and change the formula to: MONTHNAME("Opportunity"."Created Date")

For example, if the Created Date is 12/15/2020, customer expects to return December. However, it returns 12.
