"Data" and "Number of Rows" Context Menu Options for Join and Filter Mapping Components in 11g Are Not Present in 12c (Doc ID 2738064.1)

Goal

In earlier releases of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), the ability to either select the "Data" or "Number of Rows" options to validate data or the results of a SQL statement existed in the context menu of mapping components, such as Filter or Join.
The functionality does not seem to be available in 12c.  How can this be done in 12c?
