Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

We are during our exadata migration planning for both regions. We are migrating from the base shape to x8m in oracle cloud, please could you answer the below questions:

1. Our exadata base shape is currently under the subnet x.x.192.0/27 . We would like to place under the same subnet the exadata x8m quarter. Can one subnet has assigned both exadatas (x8m and base shape)?

2. Could we place both Exadata's base and x8m under the same backup subnet? Range is x.x.192.32/27

3. Can we define the IP allocation for out new future x8m exadata before is created?

4. Can oracle provide us the same database/grid software images so we can have the same oracle database version and grid so all patches will be exactly the same including the one off?

5. Is there a possibility to keep the same IP addresses for new exadata x8m as for the old one base shape?
