The Owner Field Does Not Populate When Logging A Call In A service request

When logging a call for a service request, the form does not populate with the Owner that is selected.
The following message may be seen when selecting an owner
"You aren't associated with a valid resource. Make sure the synchronize user GUID process is operating and enter a valid resource"
When searching for an owner and selecting a value, it should populate the owner field with that value.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Within a Service Request select > Activities > Log a call
2. Next to field owner select the arrow down
3. Click on search
4. Searching by email, name etc..
5. Select the available result
6. Click OK
7. The pop up is closed but the owner field is not populated
You cannot proceed to the next step as the owner field is required
