Order Updates via Admin REST API on Production Environment Are Intermitently Not Saved On The Order Object (Doc ID 2776114.1)

Symptoms

Intermitently and only in Production, after a succesful update to an order property via Admin API, if the order is fetched within a couple of seconds via Admin API once more, the latest update is not being reflected on the order object.
