Getting Error "Minor is a required field" during Category Creation (Doc ID 2785890.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to save a new asset category in Manage Asset Categories, the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
Minor is required.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. go to Manage Asset Categories
2. click on +
3. fill in:
- Major: <provide value here>
- Minor: <provide value here>
4. fill in the rest of the category-book assignment details
5. click Save. Get pop-up with this error.
