OMC: Is It Possible To Exclude A Host from Alert Rules Applied To Host Entity Types ?
(Doc ID 2789371.1)
Last updated on MAY 24, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Management Cloud - Version N/A to N/A [Release 1.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Context: Alert rule configured for entity type Host (Linux). For example the alert rule for disk free alerts. The alert condition specifies warning and critical thresholds which are applicable to all Host entities.
Problem: There is a need to change the thresholds for one specific host entity.
Adding a new rule that applies only to that specific Host entity is not a solution as this would result 2 rules being active.
Requirement: How to change the alerting configuration such that one host can have a different threshold to all other hosts ?
