MFCS 19.0 UDA Change Publication Behavior Does Not Match Ops Guide (Doc ID 2791354.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service - Version NA and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

 When a LOV or FF UDA value is changed, the result is a itemuda<type>del message, and a itemuda<type>cre message being generated.  According to the Ops Guide, there are message types for itemudaffmod and itemudalovmod.

To recreate the issue;

  1. Create and approve a tran-level item.
  2. Edit the item and add a LOV UDA and a FF UDA.  For the LOV UDA, use a UDA with at least two values.
  3. Save and exit the item.  Note that itemudalovcre and itemudaffcre messages are generated.
  4. Edit the item and change the LOV UDA to a different value, and change the FF value.
  5. Save and exit the item.

Expected behavior (based on Ops Guide):
itemudalovmod and itemudaffmod messages are published

Actual behavior (and behavior that seems correct):
itemudalovdel, itemudaffdel, itemudalovcre, and itemudaffcre messages are published
