Applies to:

Oracle Analytics Cloud - Version 106.0.0 to N/A [Release 106 to 14.1]
Netsuite Analytics Warehouse
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A Microsoft Excel spreadsheet (XLSX) was uploaded to Oracle Analytics Cloud and a Data Set was created from one of the Worksheets in the file; there were many columns, all with short abbreviated names, in this Worksheet.

After the Data Set was added, the columns were being renamed. In the Data page, double-click on a column name and update it to the new name. Or, go to the Metadata page where the columns are in a list format, and click on a column name and update it to the new name. In the Data Panel on the left, see there is a Rename Column step created for each renamed column. Occasionally, when the Apply Script button was clicked, an error would be thrown: Something Went Wrong: ERROR: Schedule job run failed. 404 - Not Found.

To test the columns renamed to date, a new Project was created by clicking on the Data Set. In the Data Panel on the left, the icon to the left of the Data Set blinked for some time, and then changed to the "Excel file" icon, but no columns were listed under the Data Set.

The Data Set could still be opened, columns pending renames could still be updated, and the Data Set could be re-saved. However, it was unusable for creating of Projects.
