Projects Approvals issue


ISSUE

Submit to Deliver Phase is not approved.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. User has approved a number of project to move from Submit to Deliver Phase as these projects now have 21-22 budget and they have produced an error message and the projects do not appear to be progressing through the workflow.

1. The history of the workflow shows user has updated the project but it does not appear to be moving into the Deliver Phase.

2. Users have identified the issue as these projects were submitted for approval in December 2020 and has just received the funding now, the user tried to approve through the email notification, but the data was already purged so she got the error.

3. The user requested to cancel the workflow and re-submit for approval to fix it , is there any other way to fix it?

If there is no other way to do this, there are about 12 projects with this issue, this has to be communicated to all the project managers to re-submit and go through the approval process again.

Is there anyway where we can get the workflow done without the PMO’s being involved again?

Also as this is a normal process at Council where approvals for projects can take some time, so is there any way to extend the timeframe for purging the workflow?
