Symptoms

When attempting to export a report form BIP to Excel, the following error occurs.

XLSX generation stopped; Long nested table (rows=20001) detected, may cause high memory usage.
Please modify template, or increase the maximum allowable nested table row count.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Open and run a report.
  2. Export the report to Excel.
  3. Observe the reported error.
