Unable To Log Into OCC Storefront Using Edge Browser With Basic Authentication And SSO Enabled (Doc ID 2821014.1)

Symptoms

Users are not able to log-in with SSO when using the Edge browser when Basic authentication is enabled. Even if the log-in flow is followed to completion the user is not being logged in to the Storefront.
