What is The Best Practice To Use Expenditure Organization Field For Inventory Purchases


When implementing Project-Driven Supply Chain feature , below guide says it's required to classify each inventory organization as an expenditure organization. Could you please explain why it's required?

Sentence from Doc : "You must classify each inventory organization that's enabled for project-driven supply chain as a project expenditure organization."

Before reading this document the user was selecting our business unit name instead of inventory organization at Expenditure Organization field while creating purchase requisitions and POs for inventory destinated items. The user can import commitments and costs to project module via using business unit as Expenditure Organization.

Which is the benefit of using inventory organization as an expenditure organization?
