Purpose

This document provides generic steps for upgrading CDH on an Oracle Big Data Service on OCI (BDS) with CDH cluster to a newer CDH maintenance release. 

Note that the steps will not upgrade Cloudera Manager (CM).

The example used here upgrades CDH 6.3.3 to CDH 6.3.4. 

Scope

BDS users wanting to get the latest, up-to-date CDH bug fixes by upgrading from the shipped CDH 6.3.3 version on BDS to a later CDH maintenance release.
