Expenditure Item EI-NR Accounting Issue
ERROR
Error: The segment value Legal Entity in account 3200.9220.210000.00000.00000.0000.000 isn't assigned to Ledger TEST primary.
Error: The segment value Legal Entity in account 3200.9220.619000.00000.000000.000 isn't assigned to Ledger TEST primary.
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. There is an employee who belongs to "BU_1" business unit, when he submitted an expense report , it was successfully
transferred to Payables and then to Projects module in Oct-21, later user has swept this expenditure item EI-NR to Nov-21 period.
Now in order to account other cost transactions, when user has submitted create accounting process for Nov-21 period, it is throwing an error message which seems to be related to this expenditure item EI-NR
2. When reviewed the issue, it came to know that this expense report belongs to "BU_1" business unit, whereas the project organization and project business unit
belongs to "BU_2", so initially when the expense report got moved to Projects, the accounting entry was
Item Expense
To, Liability
Whereas when the expenditure item EI-NR was swept from Oct-21 to Nov-21 period, then the accounting entry is showing as below
Raw Cost (Supplier Cost Adjustment)
To, Raw Cost Clearing (Supplier Cost Adjustment)
Based on this information when I reviewed the projects SLA, ITcame to know that the legal entity segment value is getting picked based on the
project legal entity name and this project P_NR is defined with "BU_2" legal entity, which is classified as project organization.
Why the system has swept this expenditure item EI-NR, why it is picking Supplier Cost Adjustment event class?
