Symptoms

The system is not longer able to mount the ObjectStorage Bucket as filesystem using s3fs-fuse

/var/log/messages show the following messages:

Feb 7 20:53:43 HOSTNAME s3fs[29826]: s3fs.cpp:s3fs_check_service(3575): Failed to connect by sigv4, so retry to connect by signature version 2.
Feb 7 20:53:43 HOSTNAME s3fs[29826]: s3fs.cpp:s3fs_check_service(3575): Failed to connect by sigv4, so retry to connect by signature version 2.
Feb 7 20:53:43 HOSTNAME s3fs[29826]: s3fs.cpp:s3fs_check_service(3587): Bad Request(host=https://<OBJECT>.compat.objectstorage.<REGION>.oraclecloud.com) - result of checking service.
Feb 7 20:53:43 HOSTNAME s3fs[29826]: s3fs.cpp:s3fs_check_service(3587): Bad Request(host=https://<OBJECT>.compat.objectstorage.<REGION>.oraclecloud.com) - result of checking service.
