Messages are Failing with "java.io.EOFException: Response had end of stream after 0 bytes" Error (Doc ID 2855209.1)

Symptoms

When publishing messages from external application to RICS through RIB-EXT, they are failing with below errors:

javax.ejb.EJBException: <strong>Error while calling Injector Service.: java.io.EOFException: Response had end of stream after 0 bytes</strong>
at com.retek.rib.j2ee.RIBMessageSubscriberEjb$MessageHandler.handleMessage(RIBMessageSubscriberEjb.java:455)
at com.retek.rib.collab.HospitalController.performHandlerCall(HospitalController.java:389)
...
Caused by: com.retek.rib.binding.exception.RIBIntegrationException: Error while calling Injector Service.: java.io.EOFException: Response had end of stream after 0 bytes - Nested exception: - javax.ws.rs.ProcessingException: java.io.EOFException: Response had end of stream after 0 bytes
