Enterprise contracts : How To Pass Contract Number Value From Page To Data Model Parameter ? (Doc ID 2856024.1)

When customer prints the contracts using Action > Preview, OOTB cover page is getting printed which does not fulfill customer business requirement. They want to change OOTB data model to add more fields/mapping
However Contracts Print Preview data model is not update-able, so customer has created their custom data model for their cover page.

In BI Data model they are able to search for Contracts based on Contract number, they have defined a parameter.

But from UI when they create a contract , and do Actions > Preview , it opens the template that customer has attached, but they are not able to pass the contract number to the custom data model

If they create contract with different Contract type , it will use the Oracle OOTB data model, the Oracle provided cover page comes up successfully

Customer question is how to pass this contract number to a custom data model from Contract page for Action > Contract Preview? Is this possible?
