Symptoms

Users frequently receive the following error while working in P6 Professional.

Exception in module PM.exe. Error executing Transaction. Error ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("ADMUSER"."FILTPROP"."TABLE_NAME").

This sometimes occurs as an Event Code PRMDB-xxxx-x error with the same message.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In P6 Professional, open a project.
  2. Save a layout with a filter applied as the user layout.
  3. The reported error occurs.
