When attempting to send emails to the Business Process (BP) email address the following error occurs:
Your message cannot be delivered to the following recipients:
Recipient address: [EMAIL_ADDRESS]
Reason: Remote SMTP server has rejected address
Diagnostic code: smtp;550 5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias: [EMAIL_ADDRESS]
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Send an email from external (Outlook) to the address of the BP
- Notice the email response that the address cannot receive emails
