How To Restore Access to ODI on MP Instance if "opc" Account is Accidentally Modified (Doc ID 2860060.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 12.2.1.4.220112 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The out-of-the-box "opc" account is a superuser account for Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) on Marketplace instances, which allows administrators to perform tasks in the ODI on MP instance.

It is possible that this account or settings related to this account are accidentally modified, leading to the inability to log into this user with an SSH tool, like PuTTY. For example, changing permissions on the "/home/opc" directory from "700" to "777", or removing SSH keys, or any other issue that may prevent the SSH connection with the "opc" account.

How can access to the "opc" account be restored?
