Symptoms

On : 11.13.21.10.0 version, Global Payroll

When attempting to change working hours for an employee, the following error occurs.

ERROR

A system error occurred during processing. Contact your help desk. (PAY-1635269)

An application error occurred. See the incident log for more information.
An application error has occurred. Your help desk can use the following information to obtain a more detailed description of this incident: 1234, Served Domain: FADomanin, Server Instance: UIServer_1, Application Name: ORA_HCM_UIAPP.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. My Client Groups > Quick Actions (Show More) > Employment > Change Working Hours
2. Continue without selecting any option
3. Update When and Why section
4. Update Working Hours (from 38 to 0)
5. Click Submit > observe error 'A system error occurred during processing. Contact your help desk. (PAY-1635269)'
6. Click OK and Submit again
7. Observe error 'An application error occurred. See the incident log for more information.
An application error has occurred. Your help desk can use the following information to obtain a more detailed description of this incident: 1234, Served Domain: FADomanin, Server Instance: UIServer_1, Application Name: ORA_HCM_UIAPP.'
8. Click on OK > Cancel > no change has been saved

This behavior also occurs in the following tests:
- Using the same effective date (E.g. – The same as the most recent assignment update date)
- Using a later effective date (E.g. – Later than the latest assignment update date)
- Using an earlier effective date (E.g. – Earlier than the latest assignment update date)
- A different working hours value (E.g. – Amending from 38 to 19 instead of 0)
