Symptoms

The following error is encountered when trying to update an account for an unused category in Manage Asset Categories:

This combination cannot be used; it either does not exist, or using it here is not permitted.

Changes

 The account combination to be used is created before trying to use it in Manage Asset Categories. It is of type Asset and is enabled.
