Last updated on AUGUST 10, 2022

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.13.22.04.0 version, Capture Transactions-Post Journal Entries and Update Ledger Balances

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
The option 'Calculate Accounted Amounts' configuration is not checked at the Event Class level, but the system still calculates accounted amounts for some ledgers

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
If the flag is not set and the accounted amounts are passed on excel file, is it expected to NOT calculate the amounts and used the one passed during the import.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Disable the 'Calculate accounted amounts' for the application under corresponding Event Class.
2. Populate the XlaTrxH.csv and XlaTrxL.csv providing the ACCOUNTED_AMOUNT : 1234 , CONVERSION_RATE_TYPE: User ; CURRENCY_DATE: 6/21/2022; CURRENCY_RATE: 1
3. Have a journal line rule as below:

Conditions
( "Default Amount" >= 0 )'And' ( "EBS Ledger Type" = SECONDARY )'And' ( "EBS Ledger Name" != ABC SL )'And' ( ( "Ledger Name" = EFG SL )'Or' ( "Ledger Name" = WYX SL ) )

Accounting Attribute Accounting Attribute Group Source
Entered Amount Entered currency Default Amount
Entered Currency Code Entered currency Default Currency
Accounted Amount Ledger currency Accounted Amount
Conversion Date Ledger currency Transaction Date
Conversion Rate Ledger currency Conversion Rate
Conversion Rate Type Ledger currency Conversion Rate Type

4. Import the data
5. The transaction data does show the data as passed in the file
6. But the Journal Line in the Review Sub ledger Journal does show a different accounted amount, it is re-calculating it.
