IDCS: Unable To Reach IDCS URL From A Private IP AppGateway Compute instance in OCI (Doc ID 2894284.1)

Symptoms

 Unable to reach IDCS URL from the server of an OCI Compute hosted instance where App Gateway is installed. The instance is configured with a Private Internet Protocol <PRIVATE_IP>.

 

Changes

 Service Gateway can ONLY be used if the services are in the same region.

Example: OCI region is IAD and IDCS instance is in us-ashburn-idcs-1.

A) How to: check your IDCS data center and region (Doc ID 2808391.1)

B) Admin Console About note will say the region your IDCS instance is in.
