Question:

Customer has two types of participants for job requisition approval tasks. I) Individual User & II) Approval Groups

The first approval rule has been configured to assign the approval task to three individual users sequentially and the second rule has been configured to assign the approval task to two different Approval groups. When user configures the assignee block to a single type all the individual Approvers are grouped together and when we change it to "Serial " the task is being routed across all the users in approval groups for approval.

Expected Behavior :

Rule 1 - The approval Task to be router all the users individually (approval must be routed to all users in sequence)
Rule 2 - The approval task to be routed to two groups (the task should be routed to all users within the group, for someone to claim and work on it.)
