RDG Based Data Visualization Console Connections Failing With Error 'Invalid Connection Details Were Supplied' (Doc ID 2898237.1)

When creating a connection using remote data gateway (RDG) by navigating to Data Visualization > Console > Connections, it fails with below error :

Invalid Connection Details Were Supplied

DataSet Connection works fine with same connection details.
