Last updated on JANUARY 09, 2024

Applies to:

Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) - Version N/A to N/A
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Accessing IDCS using OAuth 2.0 token is not working when token is added to Request Header

The same configuration works when adding token to Request URL.

To use OAuth 2.0:

In the Authorization tab for a request, select OAuth 2.0 from the Type dropdown list. Specify if you want pass the auth details in the request URL or headers.

By default Postman will append the access token to Bearer in the Authorization header for your request, but if your server implementation requires a different prefix, you can specify it in the Header Prefix field.
