Unable To Initiate A Manual Backup For PaaS Services due to a change on Sudoers file

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Customer was unable to initiate a manual backup for PaaS Services. When they were trying to initiate a Backup for SOA CS & MFT CS PaaS services, they were getting the below error:
"PSM-BKP-50103: Execution of the validate VM access operation failed with exception. If the problem persists, contact Oracle Support Services."
Logged into the paas server. They were not able to do a "sudo".
