Partial querytext search using <CONTAINS> not Returning Result for Metadata Value Containing Underscore (Doc ID 2908439.1)

Symptoms

Partial metadata searches using querytext <CONTAINS> are not returning results where values contain an underscore (e.g. abc_xyz).

For example, the following search returns no results:

 

https://{{host}}/documents/api/1.2/folders/search/items?querytext=Metadata_Collection.Metadata_Field<CONTAINS>`xyz`
