Cannot Activate CFAs - "Error ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error"

Symptoms
All attempts to activate CFAs failed with the following message: 'Error ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small returned by program unit CFA_GEN_SQL.GEN_VIEW_GRP_SET.'
Steps To Recreate:
1 - Go to Application Administration > Custom Flex Attributes, the Custom Flex Attributes page opens
2 - At the Custom Flex Attributes page, select / fill in the following fields:
2.1 Application Table -> ITEM_MASTER
2.2 Group Set -> Primary Packaging
3 - Push button 'Display Attributes'
4 - Push button 'Activate'
5 - Error Msg is displayed
