XER Import Causes WBS to Be Duplicated (Doc ID 2918520.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When importing XER schedule updates into a source project, the first schedule update imports and creates new WBS elements, but, when the second schedule update is imported, the WBS gets duplicated instead of updating the WBS and activities in the source project.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The WBS and activities in the source project will be updated not duplicated.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to P6 Pro.
  2. Open the source project.
  3. Import the first schedule update using "Add into existing project" and select the WBS to which the update should be imported.
  4. Click Import
  5. Import the second schedule update using "Update existing project".
  6. Notice WBS elements get duplicated.
