When Running a Custom Report From Unifier It Does Not Complete Or A Browser Error May Be Displayed (Doc ID 2922049.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 20, 2023

Applies to:

Primavera Unifier Cloud Service - Version 21.12.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

There is a Custom Report that is not completing when initiated through Unifier. The report window will open and appear to be processing the request, but eventually the window just goes blank, the processing indication just goes away and no report is generated. Sometimes, one of the two following errors will be displayed in the browser custom print window.  There are multiple custom reports that work fine, the problem only seems to be impacting this one custom report. The resulting .xls report can be nearly 200Mb in size, but if the data is filtered, say by "Region", then the report is much smaller and typically it will complete without a problem.

ERROR 1:   "Unifier Notification - The system could not process your request. Logging in again may help in some cases. Contact your System Administrator if you are still having problems."

ERROR 2:   "This site can't be reached us2.unifier.oraclecloud.com unexpectedly closed the connection."

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into the Unifier environment.
  2. Navigate to the Project/Shell where the custom report is located > User Mode > Reports > Custom Reports > Select "BIPReport1" > Run then report with default parameters.
  3. The report window will open, and indicate that the report is processing (There will be a spinning circle at the top of the custom report window...as long as that is spinning, the report is processing).
  4. One of three things will occur:  A)  The processing will cease and the report window remains blank.  B) Error 1 above is displayed, or C) Error 2 above is displayed.
