POST 22D: OAUTH INTEGRATION WITH IDCS ON THE INTEGRATION CENTER NO LONGER WORKING CORRECTLY (Doc ID 2922673.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 22, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud Service - Version 22 D Patch 1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

With the release of 22D, we released an enhancement to allow partner organization users to use OAuth Provider to authenticate. This meant that we changed the authorization mechanism from just looking at the user's login to now looking at the user's partner login value.

The issue here is that with Fusion integrated sites that use OAuth, there is no way for the users to populate the partner login. Fusion uses the superuser's partner login information for executing the SOAP integrations, which means the fields on the other users' profiles are not available through the UI.

As a result of the above, it is noticed that the OAuth Provider integration with IDCS on the Integration Center might not work as expected and a similar error as shown below can be noticed in the web console:

"
https://endpointurl/service/rest/quoteService/quote/create[HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error 523ms]

----401 403 Session Error---- errorModel.js:1:3873

Error Response:{"Response":"{\"error_description\":\"Access Denied\",\"error_uri\":\"HTTP://www.w3.org/Protocols/xxx-sec10.html\",\"error\":\"Access Denied\"}","message":"Could not create quote","Code":403}

"
