Item Expenses Not Being Calculated Without Case Dimension (Doc ID 2923830.1)

Symptoms

When an expense uses a Cost Component where the rate is based on the Case size, the item expense should be calculated by dividing the expense rate by the supplier pack size. To perform this calculation, it is not required to have the Case dimension defined, nevertheless, the calculation is only occurring when that dimension exists.

The expected behavior is that when an item is set with ITEM_MASTER.STANDARD_UOM = EA and the cost component on the expense is defined with a PER_COUNT_UOM = CS, then the only data requirement is to have the ITEM_SUPP_COUNTRY.SUPP_PACK_SIZE defined with a meaningful value. The calculation, however, is expecting data to exist on the ITEM_SUPP_COUNTRY_DIM for the CA dimension, despite nothing from that table is used in the calculation.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Use an item with standard_uom = EA.
2. Set the supp_pack_size, without entering the Case dimensions.
3. Define a specific cost component with PER_COUNT = 1, PER_COUNT_UOM = CS and a specific rate.
4. Assign the cost component to the item expenses.
5. Validate the estimated expense value is set to 0, even after clicking the Recalculate button.
6. Add the CA dimension.
7. Recalculate the item expense and observe that it is correctly displayed.
