PRC:SSP: Unable To Add Browsing Category Via UI. Categories Show In Manage Catalog Category Hierarchy UI Spreadsheet Only. (Doc ID 2924207.1)

Symptoms

 


Manage Catalog Category Hierarchy UI and spreadsheet are out of sync.

In Manage Catalog Category Hierarchy UI
Browsing Categories
> Few categories are not showing.

If you select
Actions > Edit in Spreadsheet > Browsing Categories
> The categories missing in the UI are showing the spreadsheet.

In the UI if you attempt to add these categories, the system returns an error:

ERROR
-----------------------
A record with the value <category value> already exists. Enter a unique value.

Tried to update ADF, download a brand new file, same issue.
If you add a new category, new category is added to the UI.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. go to task
Manage Catalog Category Hierarchy UI
Browsing Categories
<category value>
are not showing.

2. Select
Actions > Edit in Spreadsheet > Browsing Categories

3. Sign on via spreadsheet

4. Review the categories displayed
Browsing Categories
<category value>
are showing.
