How does the parameter 'Days between occurrences' work? (Doc ID 2924619.1)

Goal

 

I have created a repeating internal activity of type Warehouse and selected Days between occurrences = 3 starting today Monday July 6th. Resource works from Monday - Friday.

The internal activity was created for the days marked with shaded cells. In some cases there are 5 days in between the activities. I was expecting that if Thursday is day 1 and Friday is day 2, Monday would be day 3.
