XML Import Causes Not Started Activity Start Date to Be Removed and Activity is Marked Complete (Doc ID 2925630.1)

Symptoms

DESCRIPTION

When a Project is exported as an XML file and imported back into P6, a single activity has the date removed from Start field and the field now shows as "A" and the Activity Status is changed from "Not Started" to "In Progress".
An additional Activity may also be added to the project upon import.

ERROR

SEVERE: com.primavera.integration.client.xml.xmlimporter.XMLImporterException: Cannot compare with null date values


STEPS TO REPRODUCE

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to P6 Pro.
  2. Go to File > Import.
  3. Use the Import Wizard to import the XML file.
  4. Go to Activities page.
  5. Notice the Start Date for a single activity shows as"A", the Activity Status is set to "In Progress" and there is an additional activity added to the project.
