What is the time delay that should be considered when running the ScheduleRequest method and the getAllJobInstanceIDs method back to back ? (Doc ID 2926006.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 11, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion General Ledger Cloud Service - Version 11.13.22.10.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When using the WSDL: https://<HOST>:443/xmlpserver/services/ScheduleReportWSSService?wsdl in SOAPUI/OIC or any other webservice tool.

  1. Schedule a report via ScheduleReport and receive a JobID
  2. Use this JobID in point 1 to run the method getAllJobInstanceIDs to get jobInstanceID
  3. If the method getAllJobInstanceIDs is run immediately after the method ScheduleReport it gives an error code of 500 but if its run after some delay it gives a valid value with 200 status
  4. This happened because while the JobID was created as soon as the report was scheduled, before running the method getAllJobInstanceIDs the job itself should have been completed otherwise error code 500 would be seen

What is the time gap which should be considered between running the ScheduleRequest method and the getAllJobInstanceIDs method ?
