Function with integer variable defined in a loop and used outside the loop can be saved/validated without errors (Doc ID 2929440.1)

Last updated on APRIL 17, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud Service - Version 22 D Patch 6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Integer variables defined in a loop are still available outside of the loop. Therefore, the function can be saved/validated even if the variable is referenced outside the loop. An error should show.

For other types of variables, if the variable defined in a loop is utilized outside the look an error is received when trying to save the function:
"Compilation error: Variable [variable name] is being used in line [line number], column [column number] without initialization."
