Error "Unmarshalling Error: Unexpected EOF; was expecting a close tag" When Attempting to Use the ReadJobLog P6 Web Service Function (Doc ID 2932011.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to use the ReadJobLog Web Service function to summarize the jobs, the following error occurs.

Unmarshalling Error: Unexpected EOF; was expecting a close tag for element
 at [row,col {unknown-source}]: [1,499]

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create a Summarization job.
  2. Try to read it using the P6 Web Service ReadJobLog function.
  3. Note the reported error.
