Unifier CSV Export Does Not Render Aracbic Text in Microsoft Excel (Doc ID 2933089.1)

Symptoms

When exporting data as  Comma Separated Values (CSV) from Unifier (from UDRs or other sources), fields containing Arabic text show symbols that are not not part of the Arabic alphabet.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

CSV exports to show the text correctly when opening in Excel

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into Unifier
  2. Export any data that has Arabic characters to CSV
  3. Open the CSV in Excel
  4. Notice that the characters are incorrect and unreadable
