OCI Load Balancer Listener - General issues with Keep-Alive not being Honored by the Load Balancer due to Prematurely Closed Connections
(Doc ID 2933749.1)
Last updated on APRIL 01, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Load Balancer - Version N/A to N/A [Release 1.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The Load Balancer service sets the keep-alive value to maintain the connection for 10,000 transactions or until it has been idle for 65 seconds, whichever limit occurs first. However, in this case, the Load Balancer closes the connection after processing a client POST method request immediately with a TCP FIN, well before the 10,000 connection limit has been reached. In some cases, the resulting symptom is application port exhaustion at the client.
