Symptoms

The Unifier environments were recently upgraded to version 23.1. After the upgrade a Rules item unexpectedly popped up an exception when the costing in the record should pass validation.

ERROR
-----------------------
Rule Exceptions 1 Error(s)
Rule Level:       Per CBS
Data Identifier: XX-XXXXXX-XXXXXXXX (cost code/name)
Description:     Description of the message to be displayed when the costs do not pass validation (specific for each Rule item and customer)
Trigger Value:   $xxx,xxx.xx
Current Value:  $xxx,xxx.xx + .01

The record ONLY has line items costs against a different CBS Code than what is displayed in the error, and the error message code is not used in this record. The same calculation has been performed in the cost sheet with the same column and the values shown in the Rule Exception error message are incorrect.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into the Unifier environment
  2. Open the Project/Shell where the issue has been observed
  3. Navigate to the Business Process record in question and trigger the Send process
  4. A Rules exception pops up with the Description defined for the Rule when the costing in the record does not pass validation
